Versailles

Versailles is in my opinion one of those places that you have to visit at least once in your life- not for the packed palace rooms filled with hot, sweaty tourists and warm breath, but solely for the beautiful, vast, perfectly geometric gardens lined with trees, canals, and fountains.

We got lucky that the weather was perfect when we visited; the sun was out, birds were chirping, and there was a slight cool breeze that fluttered the skirt of my dress.
I wore my favorite bow dress from Topshop's Boutique section and paired it with a leather jacket and boots so it wasn't too "tea party". Walking down the large staircases of the garden, with breathtaking views everywhere you turn and soft music carrying the wind, you feel a bit like royalty.
If you're visiting Versailles, wear a fluttery dress. Bring a baguette too, maybe some cheese and wine, there's definitely no better place to picnic.
